The Marshall Islands Postal Service Authority has announced it will issue a 10-stamp sheet depicting tropical flowers at the AmeriStamp Expo in Reno, Nevada, this March.
The Republic of the Marshall Islands is an island in the Pacific Ocean near the equator, west of the International Date Line. It operates in free association with the U.S., which provides the islands with defence, subsidies, and access to U.S.-based agencies such as the United States Postal Service, which has two post offices on the Marshall Islands.
The first-day ceremony for the forthcoming sheet is slated for March 3 at the Reno Sparks Convention Center.
The designs include (clockwise from top left) plumeria; hibiscus; primrose willow; annona muricata; globe amaranth; Polynesian arrowroot; fire on the mountain; Asiatic pennywort; field pumpkin; and arrowleaf elephants ear.
