National Postage Stamp Show opens Friday at new venue

The popular National Postage Stamp Show is set for this weekend but at a new location.

Hall three of the International Centre at 6900 Airport Road, Mississauga, is the new home of the three-day show sponsored by the Canadian Stamp Dealers’ Association.

The bi-annual show will feature more than 30 dealers from across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. The show will also include Canada Post, club information, stamps for kids and hourly door prizes.

The Original Six NHl stamp designers Avi Dunkelman and Joe Gault will be at the show on Saturday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. to meet with collectors and autograph the stamps and first-day covers.

On Saturday,  Avi Dunkelman and Joe Gault who designed the recently released the NHL Original Six-™: Permanent-™ Domestic Stamps will be at the show to meet collectors and autograph the stamps and covers.

Admission is free for all three days, however, a special Early bird pass for $10 will provide collectors special access between 10 a.m and 11 a.m. on Friday. Regular show hours are: Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and, Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
