RPSC to end circuit program Dec. 31

The Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (RPSC) will officially end its long-running circuit book program on Dec. 31, 2024, following the upcoming retirement of program coordinator Sandra Foss.

In late Aug., Foss, who has managed the RPSC Sales Circuits for several years, notified RPSC President Gregg Redner of her decision to retire at the end of 2024. Her retirement notice was discussed during the RPSC Board meeting on Sept. 8, where the board, after “much deliberation voted unanimously,” to discontinue the circuit book program following her departure.

“Sandra has done a remarkable job overseeing this program for our Society, and we are deeply appreciative of her exceptional work,” Redner said in a statement to RPSC members. “We wish her all the best in her retirement.” As the program concludes, Redner noted that Foss will reach out to members who contributed material to the program to arrange the return of their items and settle any outstanding accounts in the New Year.

In October, 2022, the Philatelic Exchange Circuit offered for many years by the British North America Philatelic Society was discontinued.
