Canada Post releases 2024 ‘From Far and Wide’ stamp series

Canada Post’s “From Far and Wide” series returns, captivating audiences with nine stunning images of Canada’s iconic destinations. Launched in 2018, this multi-year initiative showcases the country’s breathtaking natural wonders and diverse cultural landscapes.

The fourth installment highlights seven provinces and two territories, offering a panoramic view of the nation that inspires both adventure and admiration.

The 2024 edition of the “From Far and Wide” stamps features sites from across Canada, each captured by a distinct Canadian photographer:

  • Tongait KakKasuangita SilakKijapvinga – Torngat Mountains National Park, Newfoundland and Labrador (Michael Winsor)
  • Tehjeh Deé (South Nahanni River), Nááts’įhch’oh National Park Reserve – Northwest Territories (Colin Field)
  • Sunflowers – Altona, Manitoba (Mike Grandmaison)
  • Galiano Island, British Columbia (James Stevenson)
  • Abbaye de Saint-Benoît-du-Lac, Quebec (Ladislas Kadyszewski)
  • Point Prim Lighthouse – Belfast, Prince Edward Island (Sander Meurs)
  • Thousand Islands, Ontario (Ian Coristine)
  • Restigouche River, New Brunswick (Guylaine Bégin)
  • Qarlinngua sea arch – Arctic Bay, Nunavut (Clare Kines)

Stamp Details

Available in various formats, the five Permanent domestic-rate stamps are offered in booklets of 10 (two of each design), as well as in coils of 100 and 5,000, and in strips of five and 10. Stamps for U.S., oversized, and international mailing are sold in booklets of six, coils of 50, and strips of four and 10. Starting May 6, the price for stamps purchased in booklets, coils, or panes increased by seven cents, now costing 99 cents each.

Additionally, the series includes a collectible souvenir sheet and postcards, each featuring one of the nine designs. The Official First Day Cover of the souvenir sheet was cancelled in Belfast, P.E.I., site of the Point Prim Lighthouse, and the issue was designed by Stéphane Huot.
