West Toronto club planning exhibition

Anticipating a return to in-person meetings, the West Toronto Stamp Club (WTSC) is planning a modified physical exhibition for this May.

Although it’s expected to be “less extensive than in previous years,” the exhibition will invite WTSC members to participate with a single-page exhibit, said President Sid Mensinga.

The winner will take home the Frank Alusio Trophy.

“Your one-page exhibit may well focus on Her Majesty’s image on a Commonwealth country’s stamps,” added Mensinga. “Canadian philatelists, royalist and Machin collectors may well use this superb stamp recently issued to commemorate Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee.”

For the past two years, the WTSC hosted a virtual single-page competition.
