The week’s philatelic shows begin on the north shore of Lake Ontario, in Cobourg, Ont.
Copex 2016, sponsored by the Cobourg Stamp Club, is being held Sept. 24 at Salvation Army Citadel, 59 Ballantine St. between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The show’s bourse will hold upwards of eight dealers as well as displays by club members. Parking is free.
Also on Sept. 24 is the Owen Sound Stamp Show, hosted by the Owen Sound Stamp Club. The show, which is being held at the Royal Canadian Legion on 1450 2nd Ave. W., in Owen Sound, Ont., will run from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. In addition to several dealers on the bourse, there will also be a club competition for the best single-page display on the topic of the flora or fauna of a specific region. Club circuit books will be present as well as a lunch table with refreshments.
