There’s no end in sight: philatelists across the country are slated to gather this week for a number of shows and events.
Later this week, on Oct. 29, the 22nd Grand River Valley Philatelic Association (GRVPA) Club Fair will be hosted at United Kingdom Hall in Cambridge, Ont. The show is slated to run from 10 a.m.-4:40 p.m., and will feature about 14 clubs, 450 circuit books and two silent auctions. Parking is free.
The GRVPA has 15 clubs as chapter members. As an organization, the GRVPA offers stamp collectors a variety of assistance and services, including its annual Club Fair, which began in 1995.
Also on Oct. 29, the Ottawa Fall Stamp Fair will be hosted at the RA Centre in Ottawa, Ont., from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The show will feature eight national dealers as well as free admission, free parking and free appraisals.
SASKATCHEWAN
Also on Oct. 29-30, the Saskatoon Coin and Stamp Show will be held at Ramada Saskatoon in Saskatoon, Sask. The show—hosted by the Saskatoon Coin Club—will run from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Oct. 29 and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Oct. 30. Admission is $4 (although children 12-and-under are free).
