The Week in Shows (Jan. 28-Feb. 3)

There are two major shows on the philatelic calendar this week.

On Feb. 3, the Coins, Stamps and Collectibles Show will be hosted by the North Shore Numismatic Society at the Nikkei Centre on 6688 Southoaks Cres. in Burnaby, B.C. The bourse will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and feature 40 tables of stamps, coins, banknotes, tokens, medals, postcards, art, pins and more. Admission is $2 (and free for children under the age of 16), and free underground parking is available on site.

Profits from this show is donated to local charities.

BRAMPTON, ONT.

Also on Feb. 3 is the annual Bramalea Stamp Club Show and Bourse, which will be hosted by the Bramalea Stamp Club at Judith Nyman Secondary School on 1295 Williams Pkwy. in Brampton, Ont. The bourse will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and feature 10 dealers, silent auctions, exhibits and free stamps for beginners.

The 10 dealers include:

  • Ron Feero;
  • Rob Taylor;
  • Ed Yonelinas;
  • George Kaltenecker;
  • Stephan Bilodeau;
  • Stanley Doktor;
  • Peter Wheatley;
  • Joe Servos;
  • Jim Carde; and
  • Ivan Killins.

Admission and parking are both free.
