The Week in Shows (Feb. 11-17)

There are two shows on Canada’s philatelic calendar this week.

Later this week, on Feb. 17, the annual Burlington stamp show Burlpex 2018 will be held at the Burlington Seniors’ Centre on Teen Tour Way. The event will run from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and include silent auctions as well as free parking.

SASKATCHEWAN

Rounding out the week in shows is the Regina Stamp Club Spring Show, which will be held Feb. 17-18 at the Regina Senior Citizens Centre on 2134 Winnipeg St. in Regina, Sask. Hosted by the Regina Philatelic Club, the show will boast 10 dealers in stamps and coins as well as club member exhibit displays.

The bourse will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $3 a day or $5 for a two-day pass. Children aged 12 and under are free of charge.

NEXT WEEK

Looking forward to next week, there are three shows on the docket: the American Philatelic Society AmeriStamp Expo in Birmingham, Al. on Feb. 23-25; the St. Thomas Stamp Club 32nd Annual Stamp Show in St. Thomas, Ont. on Feb. 24; and the Scarborough Stamp Show on Feb. 24.
