The Week in Shows (Dec. 3-9)

Show season is beginning to wind down as we enter the holiday season here in Canada and around the world.

This week, there are three events on the docket.

Today is the final day of the two-day Stamp and Coin Show being hosted by the l’Association des numismates et des philatélistes de Boucherville (ANPB) at De Mortagne School on 955 De Montarville Blvd. in Boucherville, Qué. The show will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and include 35 dealers. Admission and parking are free.

TORONTO POSTCARD CLUB

Later this week, on Dec. 7, the Toronto Postcard Club (TPC) will host its annual holiday buffet at the Imperial Buffet in Scarborough. With “more food choices than you can possibly experience” and “cozy camaraderie with your postcard buddies,” the dinner is open to TPC members, former members and friends of members. It begins at 6:30 p.m., and the cost is $25 (RSVP required).

MONCTON, N.B.

Rounding out the week in shows is the Moncton Stamp Fair, which will be held on Dec. 9 at the Royal Canadian Legion on 100 War Veterans Ave. in Moncton, N.B. The show will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and feature free admission, parking and a silent auction.
