There are two meetings being hosted by Regional Groups of the British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS) today in Canada as well as the U.S.
Following lunch at the Rousseau House Restaurant and Lounge in Ancaster, Ont., BNAPS’ Golden Horseshoe Regional Group will host a formal meeting at 1 p.m. Speaker Ken Lemke will lead a presentation on Grand Trunk Railway postal stationery postcards.
DIXIE BEAVERS
Also taking place today at noon is the Dixie Beavers Regional Group semi-annual meeting, which is being held at the Southeastern Stamp Expo in Atlanta. The show, which is part of the World Series of Philately, is being held at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast, in Norcross, Ga. The meeting will also include a presentation entitled “Canada – Little Known Facts of WWII.”
REGIONAL GROUPS
BNAPS members have formed Regional Groups that meet at least two times a year throughout Canada and the U.S.
“Meetings are much like mini-conventions, some lasting the weekend, during which strong philatelic friendships flourish, and both knowledge and material are exchanged,” explains the BNAPS website.
