There are four major philatelic shows on the docket this week.
First up is south-central Ontario’s largest postcard expo, the Postcard Memories Show and Sale, which will be held today at Bingemans on 425 Bingemans Centre Dr. in Kitchener, Ont. The show will feature thousands of antique and modern postcards and pre-1900 to post-2000 philatelic covers. Admission $5 (children age 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult), and parking is free.
On March 23-25, Lakeshore 2018 will be hosted by the Lakeshore Stamp Club at Dorval’s Sarto Desnoyers Community Centre on 1335 Lakeshore Dr. in Dorval, Qué. It will be the club’s 55th annual stamp exhibition and include about 100 frames of high-levels exhibits as well as more than 20 dealers. Admission and parking are both free.
On March 24, the Scarborough Stamp Show will be held at the Cedarbrook Community Centre on 91 East Park Blvd. in Scarborough, Ont. The show will be open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and admission and parking are free.
Rounding out the week in shows is the Edmonton Spring National Stamp Show, which will be hosted by the Edmonton Stamp Club on March 24-25 at the Central Lions Recreation Centre on 11113 113 St. in Edmonton, Alta. The show will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. In addition to a bourse with dealers from across Canada, the show will also include 100 frames of competitive regional and national exhibits. The show cancel will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War Armistice. Admission and parking are both free.
