The Week in Shows (March 11-17)

There are three major shows on the philatelic calendar this week.

First up is the monthly Burloak Stamp Fair, which will be held on March 17 at Burlington, Ont.’s Seniors’ Centre on 2285 New St. The show—a regular monthly gathering for the past 21 years—is slated to feature upwards of nine dealers buying and selling a range of philatelic material from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Also on March 17 is the Oxford Philatelic Society Stamp Exhibition 2018, which will be held hosted by the Oxford Philatelic Society at Woodstock Christian School on 800 Juliana Dr. in Woodstock, Ont. The show will be open from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and includes a variety of philatelic dealers, exhibits, gift bags, prize draws, club circuit books and free parking and admission.

NEW BRUNSWICK

Rounding out the week in shows is the Spring Stamp Show and Sale, which will be held at Fredericton High School on 300 Prospect St. in Fredericton, N.B. Open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., the show will include Maritime dealers, exhibits, a youth table with free stamps, door prizes and a silent auction. With “something for all collectors and future collectors,” according to organizers, the show also boasts free admission and parking.
