The Week in Shows (April 21-27)

There are six major stamp shows taking place in three Canadian provinces this week.

First up is Springpex, which will be hosted by the Hamilton Stamp Club on April 26-27 at St. John de Brebeuf Secondary School on 200 Acadia Dr., in Hamilton, Ont.

Silent and live auctions will be held Friday evening with viewing starting at 5 p.m. On, Saturday, a 20-dealer bourse will offer stamps, postcards, covers and supplies while another silent auction will be held between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Grand River Valley Philatelic Association clubs circuit sales books will also be available both days.

EXUP 46

Also on April 26-27, the International Stamp Show of Montréal – Exup 46 – will be held at the Maison du Citoyen on 7501 rue François-Perreault in Montréal, Qué.

The show will be open on Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., with 15 dealers offering a variety of philatelic material. Admission is free.

ANPB COIN & STAMP SHOW

Also in Québec this weekend is the Association des Numismates et des Philatelistes de Boucherville’s Coin and Stamp Show, which will be held April 27-28 at De Mortagne School on 955 De Montarville in Boucherville.

The show will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. both days with 35 dealers offering both philatelic and numismatic material. Admission and parking are free.

EASTERN ONTARIO COIN & STAMP FESTIVAL

On April 27, the Eastern Ontario Stamp and Coin Festival will be held at Crossroads United Church on 690 Sir John A. Macdonald Blvd., in Kingston, Ont.

Jointly hosted by the Kingston Stamp Club and the Kingston Numismatic Club, the festival will be open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and attendees are invited to buy directly from the clubs’ members, who will have tables to buy, sell and trade material. Admission and parking are free.

SUDBURY STAMP & COIN SHOW

Also on April 27 is the Sudbury Stamp and Coin Show, which will be held at the Parkside Adult Centre on 140 Durham St., in Sudbury, Ont.

The show will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and admission and parking are free.

VALLEY STAMP CLUB ANNUAL EXHIBITION

Rounding out the week in shows is the Valley Stamp Club Annual Exhibition and Sale, which will be held April 27 at the Port Williams Community Centre on 1045 Main St., in Port Williams, N.S.

The exhibition and auction will run from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and feature exhibits, dealers, an auction and a special sales table with proceeds going towards a local charity. Admission and parking are free.
