Active philatelic researcher, author, and exhibitor Steven Zwillinger, of Silver Spring, Md., has been elected as the new president of the American Philatelic Research Library (APRL) eight-member board of trustees.
Elected as a trustee through 2022 in last year’s APS elections, Zwillinger was chosen unanimously during an Aug. 4 vote of the APRL board during a meeting held at StampShow in Richmond, Va. Prior to last year’s elections, he served on the boards of both the APRL and the American Philatelic Society.
Zwillinger replaces Roger Brody, who ended eight years as president last month.
GOLD-MEDAL EXHIBITOR
An experienced exhibitor, Zwillinger has won gold medals for his exhibits of India and Burma and has also had articles published in the Philatelic Literature Review and the Philatelic Exhibitor as well as a regular column about exhibiting in The American Stamp Dealer & Collector.
