St. Lawrence residents to hide 1,000 letters throughout Toronto neighbourhood

The St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Association (SLNA) will celebrate its 40th anniversary at St. Lawrence Hall later this month, and the group’s members are inviting Toronto’s entire “Old Town” community to attend.

The goal is to have 1,000 letters written during the Feb. 14 event by locals, visitors and tourists highlighting “what they love most about the oldest part of the city,” according to a statement issued by the SLNA.

“These letters will then be hidden throughout the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood to spread the love and share the gratitude so many have for the place where Toronto began.”

Letters can also be written on Feb. 4-5 at St. Lawrence Market. Hopeful letter writers can also visit Toronto’s First Post Office leading up to Feb. 14 to help the SLNA reach its goal.
