Philatelic Research 101 focus of RPSC webinars

Gregg Redner, president of the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (RPSC), has announced plans for the society’s second webinar series, scheduled for this October.

The webinars will take place at 7:30 p.m. EDT on three successive Tuesdays: Oct. 15, 22 and 29. The series, titled “Philatelic Research 101: How to Research Your Collection,” will guide participants through the fundamentals of philatelic research.

Redner said postal historian Rob Faux, known for his popular blog series “Postal History Sundays,” will be the featured speaker on Oct. 29. On Oct. 22, the second session will be presented by Harold Krische, whose notable work in military history has garnered significant attention. Redner himself will lead the first session on Oct. 15, focusing on “An Introduction to Philatelic Research.”

He emphasized that, like the first series the RPSC offered this spring on exhibiting, this webinar series is open to all and free of charge. Redner encouraged members to invite their philatelic friends to join what he promises will be an engaging and informative set of evenings.
