Personalized stamps around the World

NZ Post, New Zealand’s national postal service, remains one of several countries worldwide offering a personalized stamp program.

“Make your mail special by creating personalized stamps that can be themed for weddings, birthdays, new babies and anything in between, or use an image or logo to create personalized postage for your business,” reads a recent statement from NZ Post.

The country’s personalized stamps are available in six denominations ($1.70, $3.00, $3.80, $4.30, $5.10 and $6.70), either horizontal or vertical orientation and both gummed and self-adhesive formats sold in 50-stamp sheets.

Canada Post cancelled its Picture Postage program on Sept. 1 (“Collectors in ‘disbelief,’ ‘disappointed’ with abrupt end to Picture Postage,” CSN Vol. 47 #9, Aug. 16, 2022).

South of the border, the U.S. Postal Service ended its customized postage program in June 2020; however, several other countries, including Austria, Germany and the Netherlands, continue to offer similar programs.
