With the popular British event Stampex returning to its face-to-face format this September, Ottawa dealer Chris Green made his debut at the in-person show after attending several earlier virtual iterations.
“While Chris deals in all manner of philatelic material, his primary interest lies in classic philately,” according to a statement from the Philatelic Traders’ Society (PTS), a British trade group akin to the Canadian Stamp Dealers Association (CSDA) and the host of the biannual Stampex.
Green, along with dozens of other dealers working the show’s bourse from Sept. 27-30, was “available to provide counsel on collection focus, potential acquisitions, expertization options, valuations, and more,” the PTS statement added.
A life member and Fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society London, Green has previously served as a director of the CSDA, Postal History Society of Canada and British North America Philatelic Society. He currently sits on the PTS council and belongs to the expert committee of the Toronto-based Vincent Graves Greene Philatelic Research Foundation. Green also holds a membership in the American Philatelic Society, Collectors Club of New York, China Stamp Society and United States Classics Society.
