North Toronto club resumes in-person meetings

The North Toronto Stamp Club (NTSC) has resumed in-person meetings at Yorkminster Park Baptist Park Church following a two-year pandemic hiatus.

“Bourses, exhibitions, networking at meetings, and purchasing or exchanging stamps are all once again feasible,” wrote NTSC President Klaus Hintz in the club’s March-April newsletter, adding the group hosted “well attended” online meetings throughout the pandemic.

Leading up to the March 24 meeting, NTSC members received a letter in the mail – franked with a special Picture Postage stamp – to highlight the club’s return to in-person gatherings.

“Some people may have asked if that was a genuine stamp,” wrote Hintz, who added 150 customized NTSC stamps were printed, “making it a collector’s item.”

The NTSC will also host its 79th exhibition from April 8-10 in conjunction with Trajan Publishing’s National Postage Stamp & Coin Show in Mississauga, Ont. “Looking forward, it feels almost like a normal year ahead for stamp collecting,” added Hintz. “There will be meetings at the church, exhibitions, bourses, and in less than three months’ time, CAPEX 22.”
