There’s a new Pink Floyd release coming next month—that is to say, there are a series of Pink Floyd stamps being issued by Royal Mail this July.
On July 7, 10 new stamps will be released in celebration of one of Britain’s most successful and influential bands. Of the 10 stamps, six depict iconic album covers—The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn; Atom Heart Mother; The Dark Side Of The Moon; Wish You Were Here; Animals; and The Endless River—and four feature live performances, including one at London, England’s UFO Club, where they gave birth to the psychedelic light show, and album tours for The Wall and Division Bell.
These four stamps feature some of Pink Floyd’s notable live performances.

POS MALAYSIA: RIVER TRANSPORT
Pos Malaysia recently issued a series of stamps commemorating three modes of river transportation in Sarawak.
The river transport featured include longboats (perahu panjang); express boats (bot ekspres); and “tambang” boats (bot tambang). This river transportation series – which is a follow-up to the “Traditional Water Transport” series issued Aug. 9, 2005 – is part of Pos Malaysia efforts to educate “stamp collectors and the public on various types of transportation in Malaysia as well as preserve our heritage through our stamp collections,” said Pos Malaysia CEO Dato’ Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh.
Pos Malaysia’s recent “River Transportation in Sarawak” series features a longboats stamp (left, 70 sen); an express boats stamp (centre, 80 sen); and a ‘tambang’ boats stamp (right, 90 sen).
“The existence of 55 navigable rivers in Sarawak means river transportation remains an integral component for its people to get from one place to another. Hence, I believe that avid collectors or beginners will find this issue interesting to add to their collection,” he added.
