Qatar Post recently launched a set of four stamps to highlight its new branding and mark the beginning of another chapter in the country’s postal service.
Located in western Asia on a small peninsula on the northeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, Qatar shares its sole land border with Saudi Arabia to the south. The rest of its border is surrounded by the Persian Gulf.
Regarding its postal service, Qatar negotiated special treaties with Britain between 1916 and Sept. 3, 1971, when Qatar gained its independence. The new postal service issued a set of four stamps to celebrate the country’s independence in January 1972.
MODERN LIFE DELIVERED
More recently, Qatar Post has undergone extensive modernization in regards to its services.
The four new 50-dirham stamps, entitled “Modern Life Delivered,” feature Qatar Post’s new logos; a newly branded delivery vehicle; and one of the country’s newly designed post offices.
