New Issue: Hongkong Post highlights 2018 stamp program

Hongkong Post recently highlighted its forthcoming stamp program for 2018.

Next year’s stamps will boast a diversity of themes and designs that “reflect different facets of Hong Kong as well as the breadth and depth of Chinese arts and culture,” according to a statement issued by the postal service earlier this month.

Welcoming the Year of the Dog, the 2018 Lunar New Year stamp will highlight man’s best friend—the dog. Other new stamps will focusing on local Hong Kong folk themes; winning entries of the photography competition for Hong Kong’s 2018 Special Stamps; the 150th anniversary of Hong Kong Fire Services; Cantonese opera golden classics; the bicentenary of Ying Wa College; popular Jin Yong novel characters; and sign language and Braille.

All of the stamps demonstrate Hong Kong’s cosmopolitan culture and inclusive spirit.

The World Heritage in China Series No. 7 puts the magnificent Temple of Heaven in the spotlight while the 2018 Children stamps invite youngsters to create different maths formula with numbers and symbols.

Advance orders for the 2018 program can now be placed through Hongkong Post’s overseas mail-order service or its online platform Stamp OnNet.
