Journalist Devin Leonard’s new book on the history of the United States Postal Service (USPS), Neither Snow Nor Rain, was recently published by Grove Atlantic.
Leonard, who’s a staff writer for Bloomberg Businessweek, details the “fascinating, centuries-long history of the USPS, from the first letter carriers through Franklin’s days, when postmasters worked out of their homes and post roads cut new paths through the wilderness,” according the publisher.
As an interesting aside, Leonard visited the American Philatelic Research Library in Bellefonte, Penn., to scan material from the library’s archives and to research his new 336-page book, which is available in hardcover and e-book editions.
