Missing catalogues taken from CAPEX 22

Officials with Toronto’s Vincent Graves Greene Philatelic Research Foundation are seeking two catalogues “borrowed or taken without permission” from CAPEX 22 this June.

U.S. philatelist Joseph Geyfman authored the two-volume issue, Local Stamps (Provisionals) Including Forgeries – Russia RSFSR, Ukraine, Belorussia, USSR 1917-1963, which was submitted for CAPEX 22’s literature competition.

The books belong to the Greene Foundation’s Harry Sutherland Philatelic Library.

The books belong to the Greene Foundation’s Harry Sutherland Philatelic Library and can be mailed to P.O. Box 69100, St. Clair Post Office, Toronto, ON M4T 3A1 or dropped off at the organization’s headquarters at 10 Summerhill Ave., just north of downtown.

“If you have information about their whereabouts, please call or email 416-921-2073 or info@greenefoundation.ca or philajournal@gmail.com,” according to a notice in this fall’s PhilaJournal, published quarterly by the Greater Toronto Area Philatelic Alliance. “Privacy and discretion are guaranteed.”
