Maximum two-page exhibit for old paper show

The Quebec Old Paper Show is hoping to make exhibiting more accessible to more collectors by limiting exhibits to only two pages compared to the usual 16 pages needed for one frame.

“Many collectors, whether they are philatelists, lovers of postal history, postmarks or historical documents, often hold real treasures, but rarely have the opportunity to share them,” said show organizers Hugo Deshaye and Grégoire Teyssier . “The exhibition we are organizing is an opportunity for these collectors to show their treasures to the general public. No need to embark on the long and tedious work of assembling a collection of several pages with several frames, since here, a single piece presented on one or a maximum of two pages is enough. It’s simple, fast and effective!”

The organizers say the public will also be invited to choose the best presentations in each of the three categories: 1. Philately (includes postal history, thematic, first-days etc. ); 2. Illustrated Postcards; and, 3. Historical Documents (paper ephemera). The deadline for entries is July 31, 2023. The link for both the prospectus and entry form is: https://svpq.ca/exposition. The forms are available in French and English.

After the success of its first event, which welcomed nearly 500 visitors over two days, the second edition of the Quebec City Old Paper Show will take place October 28-29 at the Patro Roc-Amadour Recreation Centre in Québec City. For show details, visit svpq.ca.
