Jane Sodero, of Halifax, N.S., has replaced Marty Zelenietz as the editor of the Nova Scotia Post, the official newsletter of the Nova Scotia Stamp Club.
Zelenietz served in the role for the past five years. Long-time layout manager Jeff Parks will continue in that position as Sodero, who’s also the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada’s secretary, takes the helm of the publication.
“I know I always looked forward to the news from home as the Post found me each month, and I hope I can meet his standards,” Sodero wrote, referencing Zelenietz in her first editorial, published this September.
Sodero is hoping the club can resume its in-person meetings – and possibly even host a local show – sometime before the year ends.
Next year, the club will mark its 100th anniversary and plans to host a national-level exhibition tentatively scheduled for Sept. 16-18.
