Framed limited-edition stamps to be auctioned by Canada Post retirees

Limited-edition framed prints issued by Canada Post in recent years and featuring iconic Canadian hockey players are set to be auctioned tomorrow in Vernon, B.C., by the Crown corporation’s Heritage Club.

Comprised of long-service and retired Canada Post employees, the Heritage Club is offering a series of framed prints featuring Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Orr, Mario Lemieux and more to raise money for local children through the Canada Post Community Foundation. The fundraising event is slated to begin at 4 p.m. at the local Don Cherry’s Sports Grill.

While the framed prints are valued at upwards of $400 each, they’ll be offered with opening bids of $50-$75.

The Canada Post Community Foundation will begin accepting applications for its grant program in March 2020.

Established in 1989, the Heritage Club now has more than 30 chapters and 30,000 members across the country.
