After a 26-year absence, Canada will host a four-day international exhibition – Capex 22 – in the Greater Toronto Area in June 2022.
The specific location and dates are to be decided; however, what’s certain is Capex 22 will be a two-class exhibition with 400 single-frame exhibits plus a philatelic literature class. The single-frame exhibits may be from any parent Fédération Internationale de Philatélie class.
The exhibition will be organized by the Canadian Association of Philatelic Exhibitions and hosted by The Royal Philatelic Society of Canada under the patronage of the Federacion Inter-Americana de Filatelia.
The qualification for entry of one frame is a vermeil medal at a national-level show; however, because Capex 22 is still about 30 months away, exhibitors are able to quality at Canadian or U.S. “World Series of Philately” shows through 2021.
A 65-booth bourse is also being planned for Capex 22.
Canada previously held international philatelic exhibitions in 1951, 1978, 1987 and 1996 as well as a world junior exhibition in 1992.
