FIAF journal seeks submissions

The Federación Inter-Americana de Filatelia (FIAF), a continental organization to which the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (RPSC) belongs, has put out a call for submissions to its annual journal.

The editor of Revista FIAF (or FIAF Magazine) is seeking articles in English and French for the next edition, which will be published in December. The publication serves as the official organ for FIAF by sharing institutional and research news related to philately across the continent. The first issue came in 1972 and offers first-hand accounts of FIAF’s formation, mandate and early key players.

Since its 1968 formation, FIAF has promoted the development of philately throughout the Americas, including its 19 member countries. It’s the oldest continental philatelic federation and is affiliated and recognized by the Swiss-based Fédération Internationale de Philatélie, the hobby’s global governing body.

Anyone interested in writing an article for FIAF Magazine can contact RPSC international liaison officer David McLaughlin, who also serves on FIAF’s executive council, at david.mclaughlin@rogers.com.
