eBay recognizes Ukraine’s Ukrposhta

Ukraine’s national postal service Ukrposhta received eBay’s Exporter of the Year award for 2022 after becoming the world’s first postal service to open its shop as a merchant on the popular online market.

“During the eBay’s Exporter of the Year 2022 award ceremony, Ukrposhta received the Rising Star honour in the Emerging Markets region,” said Toronto collector Jerry Kalyn, the president of the U.S.-based Ukrainian Philatelic & Numismatic Society. “Ukrposhta is also among the top five markets of eBay’s Global Emerging markets office, which is responsible for the development of the platform in 150 countries.”

The award recognizes the seller with the “most impressive sales results” in the first year of launching their online store, Kalyn added.

In addition to stamps and other philatelic material, Ukrposhta offers on eBay other original branded products, including greeting cards, clothing, mugs and more. Within five months, the firm has sent more than 5,000 orders worth more than $265,000.

Launched in 1995, eBay boasts more than 17 million sellers and 142 million active buyers in 190 countries. Sales of goods through eBay amounted to $87 billion US in 2021.
