Dyer Scholarship offers $1K for youth

The British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS) is once again sponsoring its Norris “Bob” Dyer Youth Scholarship, which offers $1,000 to a young collector to help cover the costs of attending the American Philatelic Society (APS) Summer Seminar on Philately.

Norris, a long-time BNAPS official from California, promoted youth philately within that society before his 2017 death.

His namesake scholarship, which is administered by the APS, is annually granted to a collector residing in either Canada or the United States and aged between 18 and 24 as of June 1. The application deadline is March 1, and this year’s Summer Seminar is slated for June 19-23 at the American Philatelic Center, the APS’ headquarters in Bellefonte, Pa.

For full details, including the scholarship application form, visit the BNAPS website. The APS is also sponsoring its Wayne Youngblood Scholarship, which offers $1,000 to a young collector in Canada or the United States.
