Organizers will accept exhibit applications until Sept. 15 for Royal*2023*Royale, to be held on Oct. 13-15 in conjunction with Canpex in London, Ont.
“Royal*2023*Royale is an event where collectors can gather to purchase stamps and postal history, view an impressive array of exhibits, attend seminars, and renew old acquaintances,” states the Canpex website. “The highlight of the weekend is the Saturday evening Palmares banquet. It’s a great chance for everyone to socialize and enjoy a fine meal after the exhibits have been judged.”
This year’s Canpex theme is the 150th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. In 1873, the Government of Canada established the North-West Mounted Police, which later became the RCMP.
“Royal*2023*Royale celebrates the 150th anniversary of Canada’s national police force and recognizes the dedication, service, and sacrifice of the men and women who wear the ‘Red Tunic,'” reads the convention website.
The three-day convention opens at 10 a.m. daily, runs until 5 p.m. on Friday plus Saturday and then closes at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
