Updated news alerts and a forum page are among the various new features available now on the new website for Canadian Stamp News.
Publisher Mike Walsh says the new website, which took several months to build after research and consultations with stakeholders, also features the popular stamp show listings, access to previous issues of CSN , highlights of stories in the latest issue of CSN along with a “Latest News” section which will be updated on a regular basis.
Another key highlight is the forum page where readers can have open discussions with others on any philatelic topic. “We want the new website is designed to be interactive with our philatelic community,” Walsh added. “For example, we will use our opinion poll and the forum pages as vehicles to gauge feedback from the community on a wide variety of philatelic issues.”
“We want this website to become the ‘go-to site’ for all issues related to Canadian philatelics. “We are still uploading content during the soft launch,” Walsh added.
“We encourage our readers to explore the new site and its many features, and share their feedback with us directly, or on our forum pages.” CSN is also launching an e-mail newsletter that will be sent out to subscribers, for free, on a regular basis highlighting stories from both the print edition and website version of CSN.
Anyone who signs up for the newsletter will have their name entered for a draw to win a digital microscope and stand, valued at $250.00.
To sign up go to: www.canadianstampnews.ca
The newsletter link is located at the bottom of the home page.
Walsh added that there will be numerous advertising opportunities on the new website as well.
