Coin & Stamp Classifieds offers ‘online plaza’ for collectors looking to buy and sell

Coin & Stamp Classifieds (CSC), Trajan Media’s first classified auction site, launched today as an online plaza to buy and sell collectibles to a worldwide market.

Anyone looking to sell numismatic and philatelic collectibles – from unneeded items sitting in a box in the basement to inherited collections and everything in between – can now list as many items as they want at coinstampclassifieds.com.

“In developing the live-bidding platform Coin & Stamp Classifieds, we worked with auction industry experts and highly skilled IT professionals to create a one-stop shop for collectors to buy and sell their own items,” said Trajan Media managing partner Mike Walsh. “This is an extension of our popular classified print pages. Now, collectors of all levels can buy and sell online from the comfort of their homes.”

“Over the years we have lost some classified market share to online platforms like eBay and Kijiji,” Walsh added. “This is an opportunity for us to claim back this market while also offering our subscribers – and all collectors – an affordable platform to buy and sell all kinds of numismatic and philatelic material.”

Paid subscribers of CSN and Canadian Coin News will also benefit from a reduced commission rate on all completed sales.

CSC will regularly publish information about upcoming classified listings on its website, coinstampclassifieds.com.

SELLERS & BUYERS

With a familiar and easy-to-use platform, CSC allows sellers to add multiple images and set their own terms of sale. Free online support is also available to sellers through Live Auction Group, which developed the CSC platform using industry-standard encryption to ensure all critical data is secure.

After creating a CSC account, buyers can view auctions, browse listings and place bids on all available lots.

Buyers will pay the seller directly, and payment can be made using one of the specified payment methods displayed in each auction’s payment details. The total amount payable on a buyer’s invoice may include the amount of the winning bid; applicable buyer’s premium and taxes; and any additional fees or shipping costs.

FEES WAIVED FOR MAY SALES

To celebrate the launch of CSC, all listing and commission fees will be waived for any auctions closing between now and May 31, 2020.
