Canadian Christmas stamps are the focus of the Dec. 11 Stamp Talks, Christmas – Santa’s Coming.
“Peter MacDonald has a real passion for Canada’s Christmas issues, from 1964 to the present,” states a description from the presenters of Stamp Talks — the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (RPSC). “In this talk, he will share some of his favourite items, including parts of his two Christmas-related exhibits, and provide a broad overview of the many ways that “Christmas” could be collected in the Canadian context, from the Map Stamp to ink-jet slogan cancels.”
Now in his 50th year of collecting, MacDonald is a director of the RPSC and serves as chair of the British North America Philatelic Society’s (BNAPEX) Christmas Study Group.
