Multiple sections of the comprehensive perfin handbook Canadian Stamps with Perforated Initials were recently updated on the British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS) website.
Prepared and maintained by the BNAPS Perfin Study Group, the handbook can be found in the website’s online resources and exhibits section. Most of the changes were made in chapter five, which explores Canadian perforated insignia. Eighteen of the 24 letters in this section were updated along with two addenda—”Philatelic Insignia, Cancelling Perforations and Punches” as well as “Perfin Die Proofs.”
FUTURE UPDATES
The editors accept requests for additional addenda, including new discoveries. To make a comment; add a new perfin to the checklists; change the earliest or latest reported date; or report a new perfin, email editor Gary Tomasson at perfineditor@bnaps.org.
New addenda will be added to the perfin handbook by the editors “on a periodic basis, as warranted,” according to the handbook’s introduction.
