Canadian juror adds to repertoire

The Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) has approved Sam Chiu, the vice-president of the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (RPSC), for cross-accreditation as an international juror.

Chiu, who was already an FIP-accredited postal history and postal stationery juror, has added traditional philately to his repertoire following his examination at the London 2022 international show, where he was one of three Canadian judges.

The FIP board of directors unanimously granted Chiu’s approval at its 143rd meeting, held in Budapest, Hungary, during the Hunfilex international show on March 31-April 3.

In addition to Chiu, who’s a resident of Willowdale, Ont., Canada has five other international judges – Cimon Morin, of Aylmer, Qué.; Ed Kroft, of Vancouver, B.C., who’s also the RPSC president; James Taylor, of Calgary, Alta.; John McEntyre, of Montréal, Qué.; and Charles Verge, of Toronto, Ont.
