Canadian director sought for NFSC board

The Northwest Federation of Stamp Clubs (NFSC) is looking for a Canadian director to fill a vacancy on its board of directors.

Canada has two directors on the board of seven, including Darin Cherniwchan of Chilliwack, B.C., who also serves as the federation’s webmaster and editor. As stated on its website, the NFSC has some 35-member clubs and philatelic organizations in Alaska, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Oregon.

“The organization has been a common cause meeting ground for organized philatelic interests within these states and provinces for almost 100 years,” states the group’s website.

A “Director Wanted” posting in the April 2023 Calgary Philatest, the monthly newsletter of the Calgary Philatelic Society, stated the duties include attending the federation’s annual general meeting and board meetings. The director’s position will be voted on this weekend at PIPEX 2023 in Clackamas, Ore.
