“The Philatelic Revolution is back with a bang, and Virtual Stampex 2023 is better than ever,” announces the Philatelic Traders Society (PTS), in bringing back the virtual event. “This three-day, 72-hour event will celebrate the very best of global philately,” says Isobel Klempka of the PTS. “We have some new concepts, including philatelic matchmaking and philatelic roundtables, new and improved video chat functionality, a new talks schedule, and so much more.”
“We have improved the technology we are using so that the whole event is fully integrated, allowing visitors to move seamlessly around the show. Live chat and video calling is available across the event to help you connect with friends and fellow collectors from around the globe,” Klempka says. “The virtual briefcase will enable you to email yourself all relevant catalogues, information packs, price lists and more.”
Royal collector, dealer and Spink consultant Ian Shapiro will host a Stampex Talk all about coronation collectables. It will start at 2 p.m. (UK time – 9 a.m. EST). Shapiro has hand-selected items which he will showcase and talk about in the Royal Collection, from Queen Victoria to Queen Elizabeth II.
In 2020 and 2021, Virtual Stampex attracted over 8,000 unique visitors from over 100 countries.
