Canada Post Foundation launches 2025 grants

The Canada Post Community Foundation has launched its 2025 grant application process, inviting Canadian charities, schools, and community organizations focused on children and youth to apply for funding.

According to Canada Post, the foundation is offering grants of up to $25,000 for various community projects, along with up to three $50,000 Signature Grants. Additionally, the Indigenous Truth and Reconciliation Signature Grant, also valued at $50,000, will be awarded to support educational initiatives rooted in Indigenous truth and reconciliation principles.

Funds for the grants are raised through customer donations at post offices, employee payroll contributions, and the sale of a special stamp. The grants support a wide range of initiatives, including literacy and language programs, Indigenous youth projects, gender diversity initiatives, youth outreach services, and arts and recreation programs. Applications will be accepted until Friday, Feb.  28 at 2 p.m. ET, and can be submitted at canadapost.ca/community. Grant recipients will be announced in August 2025.

According to a press release, since its inception in 2012, the foundation has distributed $14.8 million to more than 1,300 projects across Canada. Every dollar raised is directed to initiatives that enrich communities in every province and territory. As a registered charity, the foundation works to improve the lives of children and youth up to age 21.
