The United States Stamp Society (USSS) has signed on as the latest sponsor of the Boston 2026 World Expo, the next once-in-a-decade U.S. international show. In late November, the USSS board unanimously voted to support the massive eight-day exhibition with a $25,000 US donation.
Founded in 1926, the USSS (known as the Bureau Issues Association before 2000) serves collectors of postage and revenue stamps produced for use in the United States and U.S.-administered areas.
The USSS joins several other show sponsors, including the American First Day Cover Society, the Northeastern Federation of Stamp Clubs, the Philatelic Foundation, the United Postal Stationery Society and the U.S. Philatelic Classics Society. Following in the footsteps of the 2016 World Stamp Show in New York, the Boston World Expo will take place from May 23-30, 2026, as part of the country’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
