The British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS) is set to host its 2025 virtual conference on Saturday, March 1, offering a full day of philatelic discussions, study group meetings, and expert commentary on exhibits, all accessible online via the BNAPS website and Zoom.
Running from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST, the conference provides an opportunity for members to connect, learn, and engage in specialized sessions on a variety of philatelic topics.
“This event brings together collectors from across North America in an interactive format that allows for lively discussions and knowledge-sharing,” BNAPS stated in its February newsletter.
A key highlight of the day is the series of study group meetings and individual presentations, held in one-hour Zoom sessions. Study groups confirmed to meet include Squared Circle, Newfoundland, Pence-Cents, Elizabethan II, Perfin, Admiral, Fancy Cancel, Christmas and Canadian Military Mail. One additional meeting slot remains open for a study group not yet listed.
“The study groups are an essential part of BNAPS, and this virtual conference offers a great way for members to connect without having to travel,” BNAPS noted. “It’s a chance to engage in specialized discussions, ask questions, and learn from experts in various fields of BNA philately.”
The final session of the conference will feature a wrap-up and exhibit commentary, where judges will discuss the entries submitted for the virtual exhibit. While no grand or reserve grand prizes will be awarded, exhibitors will receive valuable feedback to help refine their displays ahead of BNAPEX in Vernon, B.C. later this year.
“This event is a great way to bring the community together ahead of BNAPEX,” BNAPS stated. “Members can view exhibits, participate in engaging discussions, and prepare for the in-person convention in Vernon.”
The virtual conference is free to attend, with Zoom links available through the BNAPS website. Members interested in joining a study group meeting or presentation are encouraged to check the website for the full schedule and session access details.
