B.C. RCMP seek collection’s owner

Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officers on southern Vancouver Island are seeking the owner of an extensive stamp collection with what they called “hundreds of expensive items.”

Officers with the West Shore RCMP detachment, which operates in Langford, B.C., serving it and six other nearby communities, found the stamps stored in albums during an investigation in early November. Police recovered the albums alongside several other stolen items, all of which have since been returned.

“There are several hundred high-value stamps in this collection, and we would like to identify the owner to get it back to them,” said RCMP Corporal Nancy Saggar. “The owner will be asked to identify the specifics of the stamps inside the booklets.”

Saggar asked the collection’s owner, or someone who might know them, to call her at 1-250-474-2264.
