Don Denman, a long-time California-based philatelist, was recently named the winner of the 2019 Kehr Award.
Denman’s comprehensive Stamp Smarter Philatelic Learning Centre – found online at stampsmarter.com – is the product of thousands of hours of research, organization and presentation of free educational content and reference information.
Among the many features of Denman’s site are listings for Canadian stamps and Newfoundland post offices.
KEHR AWARD
Handed out by the American Philatelic Society (APS) since 1991, the Kehr Award “recognizes one living philatelist each year who, for a period of at least five years, has demonstrated … making philately attractive as a hobby to newcomers; working directly with newcomers, especially young people; (and) developing and administering programs aimed at recruiting newcomers,” according to the APS website.
