Illinois’ Rasdale Stamp Company announced it will host four public stamp auctions this year, beginning with a 1,746 lot sale on Feb. 17-18.
Among the highlights of the first sale is Lot 309, a “high-end portion of a dealer’s stock in a six ring salesbook.” All of the stamps in the lot are from the Admiral issue, starting with the two-cent green booklet pane (Scott #107c) and running to the three-cent brown vertical perforation eight coil (SC #108). “Virtually all” examples are mint with many never hinged and some “balanced duplication.”
This lot has a starting bid of $3,000 and a catalogue value of $3,500.
ANNUAL TRADITION
In 2018, Rasdale will continue to uphold its tradition of hosting four public stamp sales a year.
The remaining three auctions will be held every three months as follows: May 19-20, Aug. 18-19, and Nov. 17-18. The company will release all other relevant details, terms, and conditions as the date’s approach.
Each of the quarterly sales will be held at Rasdale’s auction gallery on 37 Chestnut Ave. in Westmont, Il.
