Voting for the third annual CSN Cover Contest will be underway today at 5:30 p.m. ET.
Beginning in February, all philatelic organizations – at the local, regional and national levels in Canada and abroad – were invited to submit covers promoting National Stamp Collecting Month.
The annual philatelic celebration takes place every October in Canada; however, it’s fallen by the wayside in recent decades, so CSN is trying to reinvigorate the monthlong commemoration of stamps and postal history.
For this year’s contest, CSN received 18 covers – seven from individual collectors and 11 from clubs – and voting will now be open through the month of October.
It’s the most covers submitted in the competition’s three-year history.
On Nov. 1, CSN will announce the three club covers and three individual covers that received the most votes. The top three covers in each category will win $100, $50 and $25, respectively.
