Only one month away from 2020 CSN Cover Contest deadline

The deadline to submit your covers for the third annual CSN Cover Contest is fast approaching.

Submissions must be mailed to CSN by Sept. 25, complete with a postmark (dated Sept. 25 or earlier) to prove the deadline date was met.

The mailing address is PO Box 25009 Rose City RO, Welland, ON L3B 5V0; however, covers already mailed to CSN’s previous office, 459 Prince Charles Dr. S. in Welland, are still eligible.

Launched this March (“Get your covers ready,” CSN Vol. 44 #23), the contest includes two categories – clubs and individuals – with three prizes each. All philatelic groups in Canada – and many from abroad – have been invited to participate in the “club” category, and “individual” collectors are also encouraged to participate.

Both clubs and collectors can submit more than one design, which can promote an organization, an individual hobby or area of specialization or the month-long philatelic celebration of National Stamp Collecting Month, which takes place every October.

After the Sept. 25 submission deadline, all entries will be posted on our website,, on Oct. 1. People around the world will then be invited to vote throughout October for their three favourite submissions from both categories.

On Nov. 1, CSN will announce the covers with the most votes, and the top three winners in each category will receive $100, $50 and $25, respectively.
