There’s one show on the philatelic calendar this week.
On Aug. 19, the monthly Burloak Stamp Fair will return to Burlington, Ont.’s Seniors’ Centre on 2285 New St. The show—a regular monthly gathering for the past two decades—is slated to feature upwards of nine dealers buying and selling a range of philatelic material from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

We’ll also take this time to look ahead to the next major show on the stamp docket: the 69th annual British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS) Convention will be jointly hosted by the Calgary BNAPS Regional Group and Calgary Philatelic Society (CPS) in conjunction with Caltapex at the beginning of next month.
The three-day show—to be held Sept. 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency on 700 Centre St. in Calgary, Alta.—will follow the sesquicentennial theme of Canada’s 150th anniversary. There are slated to be several exhibits relating to British North America and worldwide topics as well as exhibits relating to the CPS.
In addition to the exhibition, there will be a dealer bourse of more than 15 dealers from various parts of the country. BNAPS will also host a variety of meetings, tours and dinners throughout the convention.
