An exhibit on Newfoundland postage meters and an article on Canadian revenue stamps are now available for free on the British North America Philatelic Society’s (BNAPS) “Online Resources and Exhibits” (ORE).
Produced by Robin Moore, the exhibit – “Newfoundland Postage Meters 1928-1949” – presents a study of the four types of postage meters used by Newfoundland businesses before entering Confederation on April 1, 1949. It includes information on and images of the meter machines with their denomination values and rates. There are also imprints of every known meter number in use.
